An annoymous blogger posted the following today:
"I've heard that there is a new trend of people scheduling lunch "dates" through Outlook meeting requests. Have you heard about this phenomenon?"
Dear annonymous --
I think you are referring to nooners. Basically afternoon lunch-break sex. I first heard the term from a few friends in L.A. and it was used in the context of affairs or seeing someone during the day because seeing them during traditional dating hours was off limits for some reason or another. The term has made its way east but seems to have main-streamed in its meaning so it doesn't have the baggage of cheating attached to it (though it still has maintained its intimate/steamy connotation). Thanks for scouting this trend for the rest of us. Maybe if you are lucky someone will block off some time on your cali (cali=calendar). Keep us posted.
What’s Old is Noon Again...
ReplyDeleteBack in the 80s, I wrote and recorded this little ditty that played on the club circuit…..
Got to Get It at Noon
Go to work each morning
A white collar factory
Stacks and stacks of paper
Far as the eye can see.
Tight skirt secretaries
Bodies on display
Drive me to distraction
Get me through the day.
Sexual. Frustration. In the Office.
Relief’s gonna come real soon.
Sexual. Frustration. In the Office.
I got to get it at noon.
So I meet her in the alley
Meet her on the stair
Rip her buttons open
While she’s letting down her air.
Get a low cal handjob
Don’t care what the neighbors say
For what I get at noontime.
Gets me through the day.
Sexual. Frustration. In the Office.
Relief’s gonna come real soon.
Sexual. Frustration. In the Office.
I got to get it at noon.
